Chief Operating Officer

As the organisation continues to evolve, it is seeking a highly accomplished operational leader to drive execution, enhance performance, and support its next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer will serve as the organisation's senior operational executive, providing leadership across day-to-day hospital operations while enabling the CEO to focus on strategic growth and transformation initiatives. The role will oversee operational functions across multiple hospital facilities, ensuring excellence in service delivery, operational efficiency, clinical support services, and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across multiple hospital facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare delivery.
• Drive operational excellence across key functions including facilities, supply chain, and support services.
• Execute strategic priorities through disciplined operational planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with hospital leadership teams to optimise productivity, patient experience, and service delivery outcomes.
• Lead complex operational projects and organisational improvement initiatives across the network.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline while ensuring effective governance and regulatory compliance.

About You

You are a mature, highly respected executive leader with a proven ability to translate strategy into operational excellence within large, complex organisations. You bring a balanced combination of operational, commercial, and financial leadership together with the ability to execute with discipline and deliver sustainable outcomes.

You will bring:

• Extensive executive leadership experience within healthcare or a closely related industry.
• Strong operational leadership across complex, multi-site organisations.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Experience overseeing financial performance, operational planning, and enterprise-wide project delivery.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility across executive teams, clinicians, and operational leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement, and a hands-on leadership style focused on execution and accountability.
