C-Suite Partners is seeking expressions of interest on behalf of a prominent private healthcare provider to appoint their next Group Chief Operating Officer.    

The role will oversee the group’s operations across multiple locations nationally, accountable for providing exceptional leadership and operational influence to ensure optimal performance, sustainable growth and profitability across the group. The role location is flexible across Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with frequent national travel.  

Reporting to the Group CEO, the GCOO will enhance the group’s strong culture and implement structure and discipline to support the next evolution of growth initiatives. The role will work in partnership with the Executive Leadership team to lead process optimisation, people change and transformation, and network and pricing strategy. 
  
Key Requirements: 
  • Provide strong leadership to the workforce and inspire the group around the vision and strategic roadmap. 
  • Manage P&L performance, initiating strategies for financial growth and effective cost management. 
  • Oversee operational budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. 
  • Improve processes to support commercial activities and best practice structures. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the group and invest in developing strong doctor relationships. 
  • Workforce management and planning, driving career path development and overall workplace development across the network. 
  • Provide assurance to the Board regarding risk management systems and audits. 
  
Background & Qualifications: 
  • Extensive executive experience in similar group-level positions in a healthcare organisation, leading multi-site operations. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills with a strong drive for building culture and leading change. 
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen, analytical, organisational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to work across several verticals of operations while focusing on the group level strategy and its execution requirements.
