C-Suite Partners is pleased to partner with a private hospital provider in the search for an established General Manager to provide leadership of a world-class hospital and 24/7 Emergency Department, home to leading doctors and surgeons. 

The General Manager will lead all aspects of hospital performance to ensure the hospital meets its clinical, operational, business and workforce objectives, and continues to deliver exceptional care. 
   
The role will lead a high-performing hospital management team, operating model, and committee structures, and provide leadership and direction for all hospital and department heads, VMOs and staff aligning with the strategic plan.
   
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Lead all aspects of hospital management, ensuring a balance between efficient service delivery and high-quality health outcomes and meeting all aspects of strategic and operational objectives. 
  • Build and maintain a high performing culture and structures that prioritise service excellence, safety and patient-centred care.  
  • Oversee the financial performance of the hospital through daily management of budgets and health fund partnerships. 
  • Establish, grow and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including VMOs. 
  • Oversee compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to quality standards and legal obligations.  
Key Requirements: 
  • Extensive experience in hospital management at an executive level. 
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities and proven success in building culture and engagement of a large workforce.
  • Strong commercial, operational and business acumen, with a proven track record leading through change and managing workforce planning to meet operational requirements and deliver sustained business results.  
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospital administration procedures, clinical governance and accreditation. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Postgraduate qualifications in business, finance or health management.
